What is ClearEaty?
ClearEaty is a free app that tells you what is actually in the food you are about to buy. Point your phone at a barcode, or photograph an ingredient list, and you get one number out of ten, the reasons behind it, and better-scoring options from the same shelf.

ClearEaty is a free app that reads the ingredient list on food packaging and gives it a health score from 1 to 10, along with the reasons behind the score. You scan a barcode or photograph the label, and ClearEaty rates every ingredient it finds.
Is ClearEaty free?
Yes. ClearEaty is free on iPhone and Android. There are no ads, and no brand can pay to appear in the app or to change a score.
Who makes ClearEaty?
ClearEaty is built by Patroventure LLC, a company registered in New Jersey, USA.
How is the ClearEaty score calculated?
The score starts from the ingredients themselves. A flagged ingredient caps the score rather than being averaged away, how heavily processed the food is pulls it down, and its sugar, saturated fat and salt levels are taken into account. Ingredients that carry no health signal, such as water, are not counted either way.
Does ClearEaty give medical advice?
No. A ClearEaty score is our own opinion of how clean a food’s ingredient list is. It is not medical or dietary advice, and it is not a claim about any brand.
Where to get it
ClearEaty is available on the App Store and on Google Play.
